SA20 2024 Auction: South Africa T20 2024 Retained And Released Players List Of All 6 Teams: The South Africa T20 League 2024 is expected to start in January 2024 and conclude in February 2024. The Auction of SA20 2024 was scheduled on September 27 by Cricket South Africa (CSA).
The Mini-auction of the 2nd Edition of South Africa T20 League 2024 will occur on September 27, 2023, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Cricket South Africa was happy after successfully completing the Inaugural season of the South Africa T20 league last year. All Franchises of SA20 released their retained and released player lists. On September 27, 2023, in Johannesburg, Cricket South Africa invited all six Franchises of SA20 for Mini Auction to fill their remaining spot for the upcoming season.
CSA increased the purse value of each team from Rs 5.1 million to Rs 39.1 million. Cricket South Africa made a Huge surge in the Purse value of all teams of SA 20 to increase flexibility for the Franchise to buy more players at High Prices.
In Mini-Auction 2023, a total of 21 remaining slots are to be filled through the auction of each player, either from South Africa or from all over the World. Cricket South Africa reserved six spots for rookie players (a South African player whose age is under 22 and who never played for South Africa in international cricket and also in SA20).
Each team is required to form a squad consisting of 19 players, including at least ten South African players, at most seven overseas players, and at least one Rookie player.

The inaugural season of SA 20 was not good for Durban Super Giants. They finished the league stage in the 5th spot with four wins and five losses. Quinton de Knock is going to lead DSG in the 2nd edition of SA20.
